Despite calls for reform since the 1980’s, there is no such thing as common law marriage. It is still a myth which many members of the public believe.
Cohabiting couples are now the fastest growing family type in the UK and yet there remains no specific law to protect cohabitees on separation and death.
If you are looking to cohabit or if a relationship has broken down, the right legal advice taken early can help in the long run. Hague & Dixon LLP can advise and assist you.
