Hague and Dixon Solicitors LLP are seeking to recruit a full-time legal secretary / legal assistant for the Pickering office.  There is scope for progression within the firm for the right candidate.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION.

 
The position shall include but is not limited to:

Preparation of correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing

  • Receiving and directing telephone calls
  • Greeting clients on arrival and directing them to the appropriate fee earner
  • Switchboard duties
  • Maintaining diaries and making appointments when required.
  • Photocopying documents
  • Outgoing post
  • File management in accordance with Quality Procedures Manual, CQS and Lexcel requirements to include filing and other clerical duties
  • Compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct and SRA Accounts Rules
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information
  • To maintain high standards in the processing of client work, both in respect of professional
  • standards and client care
  • Liaising with clients and others in person and by telephone
  • Relief reception duties if required
  • Any other duties which from time to time are required by the Firm.

    Ideally, a candidate would have:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good word processing skills.

  • A desire to work in an office environment.

  • Excellent Word processing skills and computer literacy

  • Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
